Area is one of the stats in Vampire Survivors. It increases the area of effect of most weapons.

The player has 100% base Area before modifications. The Area in the stat panel is given as the difference to the base Area, meaning that Area stat of +30% equals to 130% total Area, for example. Area modifications from characters, PowerUps and items stack additively. Other modifiers, such as Arcanas, stack multiplicatively with the collective bonuses from the aforementioned.

The upper limit of total Area after character, PowerUp and item modifications is 1000%. Bonuses from Arcanas are unaffected by the limit.

PowerUp[]

Area PowerUp increases Area by 5% per rank, with a maximum rank of 2. At rank 2, it provides +10% Area. It initially costs 300.

From Items[]

Area's associated passive item is Candelabrador, which provides +10% Area per level, up to a maximum of +50% Area at level 5.

Silver Ring also provide +5% per level, up to a maximum of +40% at level 9.

Torrona's Box provides +4%, then +3% per level, up to a maximum of +25% at level 8.

Golden Egg permanently increases Area by 1% for the character that collected it.

From Characters[]

  • Porta starts with +30% Area.
  • Clerici starts with +400% Area, every level decreases by -100% until it returns to normal by level 5.
  • Concetta gains +1% Area every level, with no cap.
  • Zi'Assunta gains +0.5% Area every level, with no cap.
  • Exdash and Toastie start with -10% Area.
  • Smith starts with -10% Area and gains +0.7% Area every level, with no cap.
  • Minnah's Area cycles between multiplied by 2 and divided by 2 every minute.
  • Leda starts with +10% Area.
  • Peppino starts with -60% Area and gains +10% Area at level 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, and 21.
  • Scorej-Oni starts with +20% Area.

Legacy of the Moonspell[]

  • Syuuto starts with -30% Area. He gains +30% Area after he morphs when his starting weapon evolves.
  • McCoy-Oni's Area cycles between normal and multiplied by 2.5 every second.

Emergency Meeting[]

  • Scientist can select to gain +1% Area per level every 10 levels until level 50, for a maximum of up to +5% Area per level.

From Arcana[]

Awake (IV) Arcana provides +5% Area when chosen per Revival consumed.

Boogaloo of Illusions (XVIII) provides a multiplier cycling between 0.75 to 1.25 every 10 seconds, and gives +1% Area every level.

Tips[]

  • The larger a weapon is by default, the more it will benefit from Area bonuses. Weapons such as Bloody Tear, Soul Eater, Axe, Death Spiral, Hellfire,Lightning Ring/Thunder Loop, and La Borra are examples of weapons that excel with extra Area.
    • Axe and Death Spiral gets an extra multiplier to the character's Area bonus.
  • Area stat is additive. The highest possible Area bonus can be attained while playing as Concetta, with the rank 2 Area PowerUp (+10%), rank 5 Omni PowerUp (+10%), level 5 Candelabrador (+50%), level 9 Silver Ring (+40%), and level 8 Torrona's Box (+25%) for a total of +(player level+135)% Area.
  • Keep in mind, adding to the Area of King Bible not only increase the size of the books, but also how far away they are from the player.
  • Area is important for piercing weapons, as the larger they are, the more enemies they will be able to hit. Consider upgrading Area when using the Runetracer, Hellfire, and Death Spiral.
  • Minnah's stat cycling cannot stack with Boogaloo of Illusions (XVIII).
