Astral Stair is the fifth challenge stage in Vampire Survivors. This stage can be unlocked by reaching level 80 in Inverse Inlaid Library.
Alternatively, Astral Stair can be unlocked in the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane by casting the spell "recyclethelibrary".
Description[]
A highway used to reach other worlds and dimensions. It's dangerous to venture through alone, but you probably won't listen to me anyway, will you?
Effects[]
Enemies grow stronger over time.
Has enemies that follow the beat of the music and turn either red or blue. They can only be damaged by weapons of the same color they're currently "wearing".
Has special boss enemies, Cosmic Eggs, which can cast the same Infinite Corridor ability the player can normally obtain. It halves the player's health at every cast, making it potentially dangerous even to characters with high stat bonuses.

The following items can be found in this stage:

- Eight The Sparrow, located in the lower middle room.
- Gold Finger, five total, one on each row of the rooms on the stage.
Relics[]
Three relics are located in Astral Stair:
- Trisection, which appears in the bottom room.
- Chaos Rosalia, which appears in the top room.
- Astral Stair Map, which appears in the middle room.
[]
On stage start, the player will be standing on a floating platform, and unable to move. The platform will disappear within a few seconds, and the player will plummet through a mysterious abyss, landing in a vertical hallway. This cutscene will auto-skip after all relics in the stage have been obtained. This is the main hub of the map. Astral Stair is somewhat unintuitive to traverse compared to other maps. The map is static, but makes use of teleportation "doors" which jump the player between predetermined points. Successfully recovering the relics requires finding and using these doors. The doorways at the very top/bottom of this hallway jump the player to the other end of it. Doorways along the left and right sides of this hallway jump to the smaller rooms to the left/right. Tips:
- "Doors" are large, dark wood areas in the wall, which may be difficult to distinguish from regular stage wall/background untl the player learns what to look for. They always have the same shape/size/design. They are always facing the camera (minus the bottommost door).
- Walk (up) into the middle of a door to teleport. Upon teleporting the player will "land" at the counterpart door. Walk (up) into this one to return to the door prior to it.
- Door pairing is static: any two doors only teleport between each other. This makes stage navigation very predictable and easy once players get a handle on it.
- The smaller rooms to the sides vary in contents and number. In general, players traverse 2-3 smaller rooms, proceeding in one direction, until reaching a room containing a relic or stage item. Backtracking to the main hallway is accomplished by retracing one's steps.
Alternatively, destroying the terrain such as with Je-Ne-Viv can allow the player to roam the map more freely.
Trivia[]
- Bat Country, Astral Stair, and Tiny Bridge are currently the only stages to have a time limit of 20:00.
- The description for the stage is a reference to Robert Belgrade's warning that plays when the original PS1 disc for Castlevania: Symphony of The Night is inserted into a CD Player.
