Chaos in the Dark Night (V) is one of the Arcanas in Vampire Survivors. It is unlocked by reaching Level 50 with Giovanna.
When this Arcana is active, overall Projectile Speed continuously changes between -50% and +50% over 10 second intervals, as well as the character gaining +1% Projectile Speed every level. The oscillation is done by applying a multiplier on top of everything else ranging from 0.5 to 1.5, which on average, will give an overall net neutral Projectile Speed bonus.
This has an interesting interaction with Ebony Wings, Peachone and Vandalier where every 10 seconds the circular zone slows down, stops, changes direction, then accelerates rapidly, and every 10 seconds starting :05 its speed doubles and halves alternately, in total causing its speed to increase every 20 seconds, causing extremely chaotic movement.
Blackmore starts with this Arcana.

- The Arcana only starts giving stat boost when you select it and does not give extra stats retroactively. If the stats are desirable, select the Arcana early.

- The name of this Arcana is a reference to the song "Into the Dark Night/Crash in the Dark Night", which is the boss battle music of Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow.
- The 8-pointed symbol in this Arcana is a reference to the Symbol of Chaos, which was first introduced by the literary works of Michael Moorcock, but is more commonly associated with the Warhammer franchise.
