Cooldown is one of the stats in Vampire Survivors. It affects the length of the delay between attacks done by most weapons.
The player has 100% base Cooldown before modifications, such as the characters bonuses or PowerUps. The Cooldown in the stat panel is given as the difference to the base Cooldown, meaning that Cooldown stat of -30% equals to 70% total Cooldown, for example. Cooldown modifications stack additively.
The lower limit of total Cooldown is 10%.
PowerUp[]
Cooldown PowerUp decreases Cooldown by 2.5% per rank, with a maximum rank of 2. At rank 2, it provides -5% Cooldown. It initially costs 900.

Silent Old Sanctuary (XX) provides -8% Cooldown when chosen per active weapon slot left empty, for a maximum of -40% Cooldown
Tips[]
- There is a hard cap on cooldown reduction which is -90% and it can't get lower than that. At -90% weapons already fire 10 times as fast. Each reduction will make it exponentially quicker, for example, if reaching -95% Cooldown with a 5% reduction is possible, it will be 20 times quicker and another 4% reduction will be 100 times quicker. This make each reduction from any sources very powerful and should not be seen as a simple additive bonus.
- Cooldown reduction stacks additively, meaning that each level reduces your cooldown by 8%, up to a total of -40%. Combined with the Cooldown PowerUp, this can be taken to 45%. Combined with Smith's level bonus, this can reach a maximum of -90% to all weapon cooldowns. With one weapon only and Silent Old Sanctuary (XX) on characters that does not decrease Cooldown can reach -85% Cooldown.
- Cooldown reduction bonuses are useful for weapons that fire slowly, and less useful for weapons that fire quickly or without cooldown. For example, Fire Wand benefits greatly from cooldown reduction, but Knife may be capped out by pool limit.
