Picking up coin bags from the floor triggers Gold Fever. Obtaining gold restores as many HP.
Disco of Gold (XV) is one of the Arcanas in Vampire Survivors. It is unlocked by reaching minute 31 in the Inlaid Library.
While this Arcana is active, obtaining gold will heal by the same amount. Additionally, Coin Bag and Rich Coin Bag will trigger Gold Fever.
Affected gold sources include Vicious Hunger, Gold Coins, Coin Bags, Rich Coin Bags, Treasure Chests, and Big Coins Bags from Treasure Chests and level ups when all your Weapons and Passive items are maxed.
Tips[]
- As Gold Fever will generate a lot of coins and healing by killing enemies, pairing up with Sarabande of Healing (VI) will double the healing and turn them into damaging pulses, fueling the killing spree even more.
- Pairing up with Wandering the Jet Black (XXI) converts the healing from gold into more damage when it retaliates.
- This Arcana synergizes well with Max Health to make use of the excess amount of healing it can generate. As one good Gold Fever can even heal level 100+ Toastie to full.
- With Greed, it further increases the effectiveness of the healing and benefits Gold Fever significantly. It also boost Big Coin Bags from leveling up enough to be a better source of healing than Floor Chicken while also giving you more gold.
- However, Recovery cannot multiply the healing from the coins. Other means that directly multiplies the healing effect like Sarabande of Healing (VI) or Miang Moonspell's passive multiplier based on Recovery can increase it besides Greed.
- Starting a Gold Fever much easier greatly benefits Millionaire as the generated coins can create a lot of ammo for the weapon.
- This Arcana is extremely useful in The Bone Zone as it provides a source of healing in a level where Floor Chicken does not spawn, but coin bags are plentiful due to light sources spawning nothing but gold.
- This Arcana is a must-have on Sammy and allows it to reach extremely high levels.
Trivia[]
- The name of this Arcana is a reference to the song "Dance of Gold", which is the background music for the Alchemy Laboratory in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
- The card for Disco of Gold was originally mislabeled as 'XIV' instead of 'IV'. This was corrected with the addition of Jail of Crystal (XIV).
