Growth is one of the stats in Vampire Survivors. It affects how much experience Experience Gems are worth.
The player has 100% base Growth before modifications. The Growth in the stat panel is given as the difference to the base Growth, meaning that Growth stat of +30% equals to 130% total Growth, for example. Growth modifications from character bonuses, PowerUps and items stack additively.
There is no upper limit to how much Growth the player may have.
Growth also affects:
- Base Damage of Wind Whip
- Base Damage, Speed, Area and Duration of Vol Luminatio
- Charge ability of Charlotte Aulin
PowerUp[]
Growth PowerUp increases Growth by 3% per rank, with a maximum rank of 5. At rank 5, it provides +15% Growth. It initially costs 900.

From Items[]
Growth's associated passive item is Crown, which provides +8% Growth per level, up to a maximum of +40% Growth at level 5.
Academy Badge has 6 levels and provides -3% Growth every level after 1, for a maximum of -15% Growth.
Golden Egg permanently increases Growth by 1% for the character that collected it.
From Arcana[]
Game Killer (0) Arcana multiplies experience gain by 0, effectively halting level ups. Growth is not directly affected and can be used for other calculations like the experience gem damage dealt with this Arcana.
Wicked Season (XIII) doubles Growth in certain 10 second intervals, and gives +0.5% Growth every level.
From Darkana[]
Crystal Cries (XII) generates crystals when killing frozen enemies that can be collected to slightly increase Max Health, Recovery and Growth.
From Characters[]
At level 20 and 40, all characters gain +100% Growth to offset a formula change that makes leveling up harder by making the increased experience requirement for each level higher, which applied retroactively and makes it especially hard at the first level it changes. This bonus is reverted at level 21 and 41, applying a -100% Growth penalty.
- Imelda gains +10% Growth every 5 levels, up to +30% at level 15.
- Gallo gains +10% Growth every 5 levels, up to +50% at level 25.
- Gains gains +2% Growth every level, with no cap.
- Sigma gains +1% Growth every level, with no cap.
- Rose starts with -80% Growth. She gains +10% Growth every 12 levels from level 36 to 84 and +15% Growth on levels 96 and 108.
Legacy of the Moonspell[]
- McCoy-Oni starts with +20% Growth.
Tides of the Foscari[]
- Eleanor starts with 25% Growth.
Emergency Meeting[]
- Crewmate has a chance to gain a random amount of Growth every time a weapon or passive item is upgraded to its maximum level, with no cap.
- Scientist can select to gain +1% Growth per level every 10 levels until level 50, for a maximum of up to +5% Growth per level.

Ode to Castlevania[]
- Blackmore can select to gain +1% Growth per level after defeating 1000, 5000, 9000, 13000 and 17000 enemies, for a maximum of up to +5% Growth per level.
- Chaos starts with -99% Growth.
- Fleaman starts with the Game Killer (0) Arcana, making him having effectively no Growth.
- Hector starts with +20% Growth.
- Joachim can select to gain +1% Growth per level.
- Leon gains +10% Growth upon obtaining the Vampire Killer.
- Lisa gains +1% Growth every level, with no cap.
From Stages[]
The hurry mode of all stages, except Holy Forbidden and Eudaimonia Machine, give a +25% experience gain.
- Bat Country has a -75% experience gain penalty.
Tips[]
- Bonuses to Growth apply additively. The highest possible Growth in the game can be achieved by playing as Gains, with 5 levels of the Growth PowerUp (+15%) and 5 levels of Crown (+40%) for +(2 x player level + 55)%.
- If you find yourself being underleveled in games, it can be wise to try taking bonuses to Magnet as well as bonuses to Growth. While Growth can provide powerful boosts to experience gains, collecting all of the experience gems dropped faster can help the player leveling up earlier to be more powerful.
- At level 20 and 40, players can take advantage of Experience Gems coalescing into a red one with the value of all the uncollected gems, getting to the highest Growth with Crown, PowerUp, Wicked Season (XIII), and collect it at those levels. It will give much more experience than usual, making level ups a breeze.
