Vampire Survivors Wiki

Gyoruntin is one of the secret playable characters in Vampire Survivors. Its starting weapon is NO FUTURE.

Unlocking[]

Sprite-Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane "Forsake victory in favour of sightseeing in Carlo Cart."

Gyoruntin is unlocked by attempting to move left in the Carlo Cart stage. Even if this has no visible effect, Gyoruntin's coffin should eventually spawn, guarded by several Tri-Anchors. Defeating the Tri-Anchors then standing on the coffin will unlock Gyoruntin.

After unlocking, Gyoruntin can be purchased for Sprite-Gold Coin 5,000, which scales with other characters purchased.

Alternatively, Gyoruntin can be unlocked in the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane by casting the Spell "blunderingfool".

Passive bonuses[]

Gyoruntin starts with +30 Max Health, +3 Armor, +80% Movement Speed. It gains +1% Curse every level. There is no cap on this bonus.

Gyoruntin's starting weapon NO FUTURE, begins at 5 base damage (instead of the normal 30) and gains +1 base damage every level. There is no cap to this bonus.

Gyoruntin flies over the terrain and thus ignores any walls, obstacles, and terrain gaps.

Tips[]

  • Gyoruntin is one of the best users of the Divine Bloodline (IX) arcana in the game. Thanks to its high starting armor, as well as its powerful starting weapon that naturally retaliates, Gyoruntin can quickly start snowballing into an unstoppable juggernaut. Its scaling Curse is more of a blessing on this build, as it feeds more and more enemies into Gyoruntin's retaliatory attacks, scaling its Max Health.
  • Limited weapon runs using Silent Old Sanctuary (XX) and Limit Breaking NO FUTURE are highly recommended, due to the level scaling base damage of NO FUTURE.
  • Crown is highly recommended to maximize Gyoruntin's leveling and thus its Curse stat and the power of NO FUTURE.
  • 108 Bocce is recommended as Gyoruntin's passive Curse gain will allow the damage to increase by up to 11 times.
  • Thanks to having high speed and ignoring walls, Gyoruntin can shine on exploration-heavy maps like Lake Foscari or Abyss Foscari.

Trivia[]

  • Gyoruntin's name is a portmanteau of "Gyorunton" and "tin", a type of metal. This refers to Gyoruntin being a mechanized version of Gyorunton.
  • Much like Gyorunton may be a reference to King Ghidorah from the Godzilla franchise, Gyoruntin is likely a reference to Mecha-King Ghidorah.
  • Similarly to Gyorunton, its mechanical counterpart also features a head with a serious expression, a head roaring aggressively, and a head showing a happy smile, likely referencing the respective personalities of the three heads of King Ghidorah in Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
  • The spell used to unlock Gyoruntin, "blunderingfool" is a reference to Steam user BlunderingFool who repeatedly asked for the inclusion of "mecha Gyorunton" no less than 13 times since 2022.
