Luminaire is a weapon from the Tides of the Foscari DLC of Vampire Survivors. It is the evolution of Prismatic Missile, requiring Crown at max level.

Effects[]

Luminaire creates rainbow beams that strike at every enemy vertically. It also makes a few intricate circles rotating counter-clockwise and periodically rains down white beams, both of which are purely cosmetic. The beams can explode with the effects of Twilight Requiem (II), Jail of Crystal (XIV), or Heart of Fire (XIX) (Bug: Should only apply the first chosen Arcana, but will only apply the last if the Arcana are obtained before); selecting these Arcanas in a run will enhance their respective effects.

Luminaire has a higher base damage and Pool Limit, shorter interval, but lower Area and longer Cooldown. It is no longer affected by Projectile Speed.

Every time Luminaire attacks, it increases the value of Experience Gems and gold coins/gold bags by the following formula:

It also updates the sprite of the gold items to reflect their value and randomizes the color of the experience gems to one of 11 different colors.

Luminaire can attack and defeat Blinder in Abyss Foscari, causing it to drop chests. However, this does not work for other Reaper variants.

Arcanas[]

Selecting Heart of Fire (XIX) Arcana causes the beams to explode again, dealing half of its damage in an area.

Jail of Crystal (XIV) gives the beams a 25% chance to freeze enemies. This chance is affected by Luck.

Twilight Requiem (II) allows the beams to explode again when they hit the ground.

Tips[]

  • Luminaire ability to increase the value of Experience Gems and gold coins/gold bags is valuable in gold runs; pair them with Crown and Stone Mask for the best effects.
  • With each boost, the denominator grows faster than the numerator (linear versus logarithmic), and you want to collect the pickups instead of waiting for them to increase unless you have exactly one pickup on screen (impractical for experience gems).
