Maria Renard is one of the playable characters in the Ode to Castlevania DLC in Vampire Survivors. Their starting weapon is the Guardian's Targe.
Unlocking[]
To unlock Maria Renard, complete any stage with Shanoa and Juste Belmont.
Alternatively, Maria can be unlocked in the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane by casting the Spell "holyglasses".
Passive bonuses[]
Maria starts with +40% MoveSpeed, +25% Might, and +25% Luck.
Overhealing increases her Might stat by 1%, starting at 24 Health overhealed with diminishing returns.
At levels 2, 12, 22, and 32 Maria gains a follower, namely the Sacred Cardinal, the Sacred Dragon, the Sacred Tiger, and the Sacred Turtle followers. They will stay at the fixed north, east, south and west positions around her.
Overhealing by 32 points or more gives her followers a temporary boost.
She can find special Castlevania pickups, like Wall Chicken.
Trivia[]
- The spell required to unlock her, "holyglasses" is a nod to Symphony of the Night where she gives the Holy Glasses to Alucard to help him see Shaft's orb controlling Richter.
- The four familiars that she gains are a reference to her animal companions used as sub-weapons as Young Maria in Rondo of Blood : the cat, turtle, cardinals and dragon.
