The Merchant is a mechanic in Vampire Survivors, which allows the purchasing of rare Weapons and Golden Eggs using Gold Coins. They initially only appear in Moongolow. Then later in all other stages after the purchase of the Glass Vizard.

- Pick a Card, costing
20,000 (Inverse mode only)
Skip, costing
100 (Inverse mode only, can be purchased repeatedly until the player has 20 Skips)
Banish, costing
500 (Inverse mode only, can be purchased repeatedly until the player has 20 Banishes)
Reroll, costing
1,000 (Inverse mode only, can be purchased repeatedly until the player has 20 Rerolls)
Golden Egg, costing
10,000 (Can be purchased repeatedly)

1,000 (Only available when playing as Queen Sigma, replaces Golden Egg)

- In order to access the shop, the player needs to touch the merchant.
- Golden Egg applies to the current character being played but its effects will not apply until after the current game ends.
- All rare weapons (Bone, Cherry Bomb, Carréllo, Celestial Dusting, La Robba) bought lasts for the current game and cannot be bought if the max weapon limit is already reached.
- The player is unable to purchase weapons if the player's weapon slots are full already.
- The merchant can only be accessed once per run. Once the player exits the shop, the merchant disappears from the map.
- The merchant can be accessed infinite times in Endless Mode, spawning every cycle.
- The merchant does not disappear after a certain time. They will remain like this until the player interacts with them.
Trivia[]
- The merchant has a particle effect behind their head, similar with the head/masks of the Masked Guardians that guard the four secret Passive items.
- Because of Gold Fever and Vicious Hunger which generate an abundant number of coins, the merchant is added to provide Coin sink after the player finishes spending all their coins on upgrades and unlocking new characters.
- The merchant's appearance is based on the character Pantalone from Italian commedia dell'Arte.
- In Carlo Cart, the merchant runs on the top of the track as the same speed as the passive movement, you can get to him by pressing right.
