Poe Ratcho is one of the playable characters in Vampire Survivors. His starting weapon is Garlic.

Unlocking[]

The player can unlock Poe by getting Garlic to level 7. He needs to be purchased for Sprite-Gold Coin 500, which scales with other characters purchased.

Alternatively, Poe can be unlocked in the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane by casting the Spell "strongestcharacter".

Retired Poe Ratcho[]

Completing the Adventure A Garlic Paradise for the first time unlocks an alternative skin named Retired Poe Ratcho.

Alternatively, Retired Poe can be unlocked in the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane by casting the Spell "retirepoe".

Passive bonuses[]

Poe starts with -30 Max Health and +25% Magnet.

Retired Poe Ratcho[]

Compared to Poe, Retired Poe starts with +30 Max Health and +5 Recovery. He also starts with a level 5 Pummarola.

Tips[]

  • Retired Poe has a massive amount of Recovery which is further boosted by Pummarola. This makes him one of the best users of Impostongue in the game, although he cannot compete with Cosmo Pavone.
  • Because Garlic and Soul Eater have the additional benefit of reducing enemy resistance to freezing, a freezing build with Crystal Cries (XII) can be a powerful option. Crystal Cries boosts Poe's regeneration even further, synergizing with his key weapon Impostongue.

Trivia[]

  • Poe Ratcho is a homophone of "poraccio", dialectal form from Rome for the Italian "poveraccio", meaning "poor wretch".
  • His dialogue as a vendor in Adventure Mode, "Can I offer you a clove in this trying time?" is a reference to Danny DeVito's character Frank in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
