Porta Ladonna is one of the playable characters in Vampire Survivors. Her starting weapon is Lightning Ring.
Unlocking[]
The player can unlock this character by getting the Lightning Ring to level 4, then purchasing this character with 500, which scales with other characters purchased.
Alternatively, Porta can be unlocked in the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane by casting the Spell "vivaladonna".
Passive bonuses[]
Porta starts with +30% Area. Additionally, Porta starts with -90% Cooldown, however, the bonus depreciates by 30% each level, until the bonus is entirely gone at level 4.
Level | Cooldown |
---|---|
1 | -90% |
2 | -60% |
3 | -30% |
4+ | 0% |
Tips[]
- Due to Lightning Ring's random nature and long cooldown, it is normally not a very reliable weapon in the early game, however, this is greatly mitigated by the temporary Cooldown bonus. It is often better avoid collecting XP at the start to maintain the bonus longer rather than pick up another weapon immediately. When you think it is time to proceed, pick up the accumulated Experience Gems for multiple level ups at once.
- Picking the Game Killer (0) as a starting Arcana locks Porta at level 1 and allows her to keep her Cooldown bonus indefinitely. This can be useful on stages that already contain a Duplicator, allowing Porta to evolve her Lightning Ring, or other powerful weapons and items, alternatively, weapons can be bought from the Merchant.

Trivia[]
- "porta" is Italian for "gate", "door" or even "bring", and "la donna" (with the space) is Italian for "the woman".
- Porta's complete name is "Porta Ladonna", which when combined with Arca's name closely resembles the Italian expression "Porca Madonna", a blasphemy which heavily insults the Virgin Mary relating her to a sow.
- Porta used to have Peachone as her starting weapon.
- Porta's unlocking spell "viva la donna" is a joyful praise to women in general.
