Sun Atlantean is an enemy that appears in all normal, bonus and challenge stages. Unlike most enemies, it does not spawn as part a wave or map event, but spawns upon approaching the Gold Ring, which is one of the hidden stage items unlocked by obtaining the Yellow Sign.

Behavior

Sun Atlantean is resistant to freeze, instant kill effects and debuffs, and it takes reduced knockback. It does not despawn, if it leaves the player's screen, but is instead teleported back, like bosses. When killed, Sun Atlantean drops a Golden Egg instead of experience.
