The Stalker is an enemy that appears in Dairy Plant, The Bone Zone, Cappella Magna, Boss Rash, and Carlo Cart or as a Random Event.

Stalker's health is based on the player's level, and it is immune to knockback, freeze, and debuffs.

Instances[]

Map event[]

In most stages, The Stalker appears in a map event that spawns a single green reaper that follows the player for 1 or 2 minutes, occasionally speeding up or slowing down.

In Dairy Plant, it has a low chance to spawn at the very start of the round and a slightly higher chance to spawn at the 8 and 12 minute mark.

In Cappella Magna, it is guaranteed to spawn at 10:10 as a special event if the player has not yet defeated The Ender. Since it is spawned by a special event instead of being a part of the wave, it cannot appear in Green Acres. After defeating The Ender, it will no longer spawn in this stage.

In The Bone Zone, it is guaranteed to spawn at the 10 minute mark.

Other[]

In Boss Rash, it spawns as a wave boss.

In Carlo Cart, it is summoned by the Timed Enemy Spawn map event and spawns as a boss at a later wave, appearing twice in the stage.

Can be spawned as a Random Event on any map.

Behavior[]

Upon spawning, The Stalker will follow the player around but will not actively make contact. Occasionally, it will speed up or slow down, appearing to chase the player, dealing massive damage upon contact. It will continue this behavior until it is defeated or its set duration has elapsed.

Having a high Curse stat significantly increases the danger of The Stalker as it allows it to move very fast, making it extremely difficult to outrun or avoid. As such, it is advised for players to acquire at least one weapon that can defeat The Stalker when playing on a stage where it can spawn if having high Curse is not avoidable.

The Stalker is instantly killed upon taking damage from Pentagram, Gorgeous Moon, Infinite Corridor, Crimson Shroud, Victory Sword, Rosary, Just Vent Emergency Meeting DLC, Grenade Operation Guns DLC, or the Dairy Carts found in Dairy Plant. Additionally, it takes 10 times more damage from breaking Stained Glass windows in Cappella Magna. Upon being defeated, it may drop a Treasure Chest depending on what was used on it:

  • Pentagram and Grenade[Verify] cause no chest to drop, regardless of it being a good or bad proc.
  • Gorgeous Moon, Infinite Corridor, Crimson Shroud, Victory Sword, and Rosary cause a high-quality chest to drop:

Both chests can exceptionally evolve up to 3 weapons if higher tier.

If Stalker is defeated with any of the aforementioned weapons and items, a red ghost will appear in the bottom-right corner of the screen, accompanied by a jingle.

Cappella Magna and Boss Rash[]

A weaker variant of The Stalker spawns in Cappella Magna and Boss Rash, with less health and movement speed. As opposed to general behavior, it cannot drop a Treasure Chest. However, instantly defeating it will still trigger the "red ghost" to appear.

Carlo Cart[]

The Stalker operates under its usual behavior in this stage; however, killing it regardless of the method used will not cause it to drop any Treasure Chests.
