Whip is a weapon in Vampire Survivors. It is the starting weapon of Antonio Belpaese. It is unlocked by default, and can be offered to the player from the start.

Whip can be evolved into Bloody Tear with Hollow Heart.

Effects[]

Whip creates a slash horizontally that frontally originates from the character's torso, damaging all enemies in the area.

Consecutive slashes from increased Amount alternate between firing towards and away from the direction the character is facing, getting progressively higher.

Arcanas[]

Selecting Slash (XVI) Arcana allows Whip to critical hit. Whip's critical hits deal 4x damage and have 20% chance to occur. This chance is affected by Luck.

Levels[]

Whip has 8 levels. At max level, Whip has +30 Base Damage, +20% Area, and +1 Amount.

Level 1 "Attacks horizontally, passes through enemies."
Level 2 Fires 1 more projectile.
Level 3 Base Damage up by 5.
Level 4 Base Area up by 10%. Base Damage up by 5.
Level 5 Base Damage up by 5.
Level 6 Base Area up by 10%. Base Damage up by 5.
Level 7 Base Damage up by 5.
Level 8 Base Damage up by 5.

Limit Break[]

With Limit Break, Whip can be further leveled up.

Tips[]

  • With enough Amount, Whip can be a very deadly weapon when you are positioned south of enemies.
  • Whip can deal critical damage after Slash (XVI) is picked up. The more Luck you have, the more likely you are to deal critical hits. Luck can be increased with Clover, Little Clovers, or the Luck PowerUp.
  • Whip has a normal amount of knockback, but it has an AOE that can be controlled unlike most weapons, so it can be useful when trying to escape enemies closing in on you.
  • Quickly switching between facing left and right will allow multiple slashes in the same direction rather than alternating.
